We just kicked off construction at Plaza Hill and we’re going to try and provide monthly progress photos from these same angles. It should be a cool time lapse at the end. Maybe we’re nerds, but Construction is just fun to watch. @villaheights @plaza_midwood

Well we sold 2317 Thrift Rd (more appropriately named, the Wray Ward building). It is such a bitter sweet thing as this has been one of our favorite projects to work on. However, we couldn’t think of a better new owner to carry the torch than @wesmcadams of Abacus capital. This project has taught us a lot, but nothing more important than the value of relationships. We have @wray_ward to thank for that. Here’s to a bright future for the people that will continue to make this building one of ...

Preserving old buildings is good. We’ve really enjoyed these adaptive re-use projects over the years. See a few of our projects that have created (and will create) unique spaces in and around Charlotte.

We’re excited to announce that construction will start Monday next week for 2501 The Plaza! Finally, the day is here. It’s going to be fun watching this 21,000 sf building go through a COMPLETE transformation. Lots of progress photos coming. Tenant announcements too! We think it will be great project for these special neighborhoods. #villaheights #plazamidwood #noda #optimistparkclt

So Cool! We just received these coffee bags that feature some of our favorite places near the projects we’re working on. This was a little marketing collab between @enderlycoffeeco and @yellowduckmktg. They did an AMAZING job for us and we love sharing these gifts with people that help make these projects happen. And of course, the coffee is delicious!

Well this is cool. Thanks to @edifice_inc for providing this time lapse video of our 2317 Thrift Rd project for @wray_ward. Half adaptive reuse half new construction - @edifice_inc Makes it look easy! It’s been such a fun project to work on for a very special company in @Wray_ward. We’ve learned a lot from them! Now, @redline_design_group just crushed the Design. I mean, the interior photos ... They. Are. RIDICULOUS. can’t wait to share those in a few weeks!

We took our mascot, Chief, over to @thedogsalon in plaza midwood and boy did they do him up right. They’re another great establishment in this neighborhood. @support.charlotte.local

HELLO! We just closed on another adaptive reuse project in the Gold District of Southend. Introducing “15 Mint” at 1513-1515 S Mint St. This one is a special project to us bc we have the unique opportunity to partner with @lischerong Development who is a great business partner and better friend. We have a great team in place in @odaarchitecturenc @bloc.clt @colliersinternational And of course, @james.r.craig on leasing. The 1513 building is at lease and the 1515 building is ready for a ...

We love cities, but we also love getting away from them. Mark, Alyson and Tatum Miller mountain trip this past weekend :)

We’re about 2/3rds of the way there on this very special project for @wray_ward at 2317 Thrift Rd. Half adaptive reuse / half new construction = 100% unique. We can’t wait to see the finished project, especially with their upfit in place, which we KNOW will be stunning thanks to @redline_design_group. Also, a big thanks to @edifice_inc for making this project REALLY REAL. This one will always be near and dear to the heart.

@craftgrowlershop is one of our favorite places. So, out of desperation, my wife and I converted our back patio to @craftgrowlershop over the weekend. Boy did it feel good to be back. Alyson made tasty flat bread pizzas (forgot to snap), but the boiled peanuts were what really brought me back. Thanks @craftgrowlershop and Dan Davis for being a special staple in Southend and we can’t wait to come back!

Guys, we found this ridiculously cool development in the old southside area of Wilmington. Props to #pentondevelopment for putting this unique project together that houses #blocktaco #newanthembeerproject and #bennysbigtimepizzeria to name a few. I was literally running from building to building to take these pictures. We’re inspired!

We just took off the plaster wall on the front facade of 2501 The Plaza and found all this brick! This will look bad ass when we’re done with it. Also caught up with Shannon Hughes at #davidweeklyhomes and he said things are going well on their townhome development behind us. This little pocket of Villa Heights is going to be a one of a kind nook in the neighborhood.

Great shot by @cltdevelopment illustrating activity in South End and along the Stonewall corridor. This too shall pass!

We rise and will continue to rise. Count the Cranes.
How many active construction projects do you count in this awesome aerial shot.
And yes I counted Leather and Lace, cuz I’m cheeky. .

We like Freedom Park. But especially in this time, it’s reminding us the value of space, outdoors and activity. There are great ideas to steal from this place.

Our tenant, @thehobbyistclt , is stocking up on grab-and-go grocery items like milk from @homelandcreamery , artisan bread from @verdant_bread , etc and will continue to add more in the days ahead.
They’re offering delivery, curbside pickup, online ordering, and app purchasing for coffee items.
There’s still plenty of opportunities for you to continue supporting Charlotte’s small businesses. Just please stay 6’ apart. 🙏🏼

Congrats to @james.r.craig on his newest listing in Uptown! Latta Arcade is a unique retail & office opportunity in the heart of Charlotte’s business district.

This past weekend, we hit one of our favorite spots in downtown Belmont. #mugshotsbelmont is located in an old train station built in the 1900’s. It’s built with bicycle themed decor (check out these crank shaft chandeliers) and has a back door that leads to @southmaincycles . At night, the shop turns into Station, a bar and restaurant. Truly unique spot in Belmont and worth a visit. Our minds were swirling after morning coffee 😀

“Closing early for Dad & Daughter afternoon.”
Respect for @keevilgrocery in charlottesville, Va. #goodpriorities #goodbusiness

We met the Copper Builders team who are developing the Altura Townhomes on Mint St. Love their design. This 31 Townhome development is going to be a great addition to Mint St along with LPA Urban and @lischerong development’s 15 Mint adaptive reuse project. The Gold District is getting hot!

Wow. We’re blown away by what @haerfestcoffeeroastingco is doing on the West side. Brewing great coffee and providing jobs for people with disabilities. These guys are what makes our City special. Check them out and buy a bag!

A little #throwback to one of our favorite projects: 2100 N Davidson St is 18,000 SF in Villa Heights and is now home to some of Charlotte’s favorite shops like @thehobbyistclt ☕️ and @ebb.flow.studio 🧘♀️ #Repost @james.r.craig

Check out how @gathergvl used a variety of materials to create an awesome indoor/outdoor space. Bringing people together is what it’s all about! Charlotte would eat this up!

Tenants We Love:
If you haven’t been to @cilantroclt in Plaza Midwood, you’re missing out on some of Charlotte’s best Vietnamese food!
Pro tip: Save room for some dessert @ochatimeclt , their recently-opened sister concept next door 🔥

15 Mint:
This project features 5 buildings totaling 28,000 sf of creative office, restaurant & retail space coming soon to South End’s Historic Gold District.
South End continues to explode with new office & multifamily development. We’re excited to see the Gold District follow suit. Updates to come on the months ahead.

Congrats to @ajklenk for making the @goodyearhouse a special place in noda. This spot is going to crush!

Getting close to breaking ground on these 5 warehouse buildings in Southend. Right on top of the Rudisil Gold Mine - “15 Mint”

Great read on the importance of Authentic Spaces. It’s exciting to see this evolution in the Carolinas. Google Cushman Wakefield cool streets report for full article.

Saw this gravel-lok in DC a while back and trying to find a place for it in one of our projects. Great for bikes, dogs, running, etc

Kevin and Laura @hellohoneyclt doing their thing in Wesley Heights. They put a lot of love in that honey :)

@brainkala11 @footsloggers_outdoors in Blowing Rock said it best. Nature is a humbling experience.

Congrats to @thehobbyistclt for the @burialbeer tap take over Thursday night. Great crowd and greaaat beer
